Arrived Amsterdam. On to Entebbe.

January 20, 2024

This little beauty got all 281 passengers aboard to Amsterdam just as planned.

Come with ETI next time and find out what LSG Sky Chefs deliver. 🙂

And we’re all at Schiphol in Amsterdam.

Upon arrival, most of us headed to the self-transfer kiosks and on to various gates. The flight from Minneapolis was good, uneventful and full of all kinds of folks: Tourists, families, students studying abroad, people on business and who knows who all else. It’s easy to take flying for granted. But when I revisit this whole travel thing, I realize that while tiring (rumor is I’m no longer 22), it is invigorating and quite a marvel.

Imagine how long it would have taken 100 years ago for an average citizen such as myself to get to Amsterdam (not to mention the Amsterdam to Entebbe trek). So I’m glad that the trek is “only” 8+ hours. However, I don’t want to pretend that it’s always easy to share life in a narrow flying tube for the better part of a day with some of the folks camped out in the seats around me.

Today’s Agenda: Enjoy an English tea with cream at Schiphol, send this blog, head to Entebbe via KLM with planned arrival at 10:40PM, navigate customs, check in at 2Friends Hotel nearby. Rest in an actual bed.

Tomorrow’s Agenda: ETI meets up with our trusty driver, Zawa who delivers me to our KAD partners at the Mutukula border. Reunite late afternoon with KAD partners and friends.

I’m off to Uganda (Entebbe). Stay tuned.
