Andre received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of St. Thomas College of Engineering and earned his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota. While at St. Thomas, Andre co-founded the student chapter of Engineers for a Sustainable World (ESW) and helped plan and carry out the inaugural student engineering program to Karagwe, Tanzania in 2008. Since that time, Andre has been involved with projects and persons active in Karagwe and is a charter member of the Educate Tanzania Board of Directors. Following graduation from the University of St. Thomas Andre began his career with Boston Scientific as a Research and Development Engineer in Boston’s Peripheral Interventions Group. Andre works currently for Medtronic in the Structural Heart Division that makes technology to support interventional treatment of coronary artery disease. Andre’s contributions to ETI are many-fold from serving as the organization’s webmaster to leading the Young Professionals group to designing donation programs. Andre spends his time with his family in Minnesota and enjoys athletic endeavors such as cross country skiing, running, and softball.
