ETI Basics: Our Logo

Educate Tanzania, Inc. has used its logo since inception in 2010. The logo was created quite quickly to upload to the Nerdery's Overnight Challenge competition and was received so well that we just kept it. It shows a female graduating and depicts the stepping stone desired by so many young women and men in Tanzania. They hope to have access to higher education and transition from college training to meaningful work. They hope to apply the riches of their learning to earn a healthy income, provide stability to families and contribute to the communities in which they live.

The graduation mortar board or cap is the cross arm of the letter T. The graduating women is sheltered by her culture, steeped in tradition, compassion, hard work and responsibility to family, church and community. Educate Tanzania, Inc. is pleased with our logo and expanding it as our abbreviation - ETI - also refers to one of our favorite ETI mantras: Educate Transform Innovate.
